Hero I-League club Mohammedan SC is all set to rope in Uzbek midfielder Mirjalol Kasimov ahead of the upcoming season, Halfway Football can confirm.
“Neroca FC’s Mirjalol Kasimov will join Mohammedan SC on a season-long deal,” a source informed Halfway Football.
The Kolkata-based club is in the process of assembling a strong squad for the next I-League season and as a part of this, the club has signed Mirjalol Kasimov on a season-long contract.
The 27-year-old Uzbek player’s most recent club was Neroca FC, where he made 19 appearances and scored three goals.
Mirjalol was a product of Uzbek giants FC Bunyodkor’s youth system. At the senior level, the young midfielder has played for Uzbek clubs AGMK Olmaliq and FK Obod.
Alexis Gomez is also set to be acquired by Mohammedan from Sudeva Delhi FC. With Sudeva, recording 11 G+A in just 11 games, the Argentine had an incredible season.
