Mohammedan SC is set to sign TRAU FC midfielder Meitalkeishangbam Roger Khuman on a one-year deal for the upcoming I-League season, Halfway Football can exclusively confirm.
“Mohammedan SC has reached an agreement with TRAU FC’s midfielder Roger. He will join the Black Panthers on a season-long deal,” a source tracking the movements informed Halfway Football.
The 23-year-old Manipuri midfielder made 10 total appearances in the I-League during the recently finished season, including six starts. He participated in both the Durand Cup and the Super Cup with TRAU FC.
By nature, Roger is a defensive midfielder. He has played as one of the pivots in the games he has played this season for TRAU.
His engagement in duels and pass accuracy stand out as his most notable traits. Last season, he had a short passing accuracy of 85%.
Mohammedan SC will be hoping the youngster can provide the necessary upgrade in the midfield as they aim to rebuild their team to fight for the title.
