Indian Super League (ISL) side Kerala Blasters are in talks with Manipuri defender Dinesh Singh for a possible transfer ahead of the upcoming season, Halfway Football can exclusively confirm.
The 25-year-old center-back, who can also play as a right-back and left-back, is currently playing for Sreenidi Deccan FC, and his contract is set to expire this summer in May 2023.
“Kerala Blasters have been following Dinesh recently, talks are moving in a positive direction, the player is likely to join the Southern side for the next season,” a source tracking the developments informed Halfway Football.
Dinesh Singh joined Real Kashmir FC in the 2016-17 season, played four matches in the I-League 2nd division qualifiers. He then joined TRAU FC ahead of 2017-18 season and was part of his home side for three seasons. He has played 14 matches for Sreenidi Deccan FC in the 2022-23 season, scoring two goals and assisting one. He has also played three full matches in the ongoing Super Cup 2023, including one qualifier match.
Signing Dinesh Singh could be a step in the right direction for the Blasters as they aim to build a strong and competitive squad. Dinesh’s versatility and experience in the I-League could be an added advantage.
