I-League side Mohammedan SC is set to sign Sujit Singh on a one-year deal with an option to extend for another year, Halfway Football can exclusively confirm.
“Sujit Singh will join Mohammedan SC on a one-year deal. There is also an option to extend his contract for another year,” a source tracking the developments informed Halfway Football.
The West Bengal-born 19-year-old defender previously played his traits for the third-Sijit was a member of the youth squad in East Bengal, before joining Mohammedan in 2022. He was also part of the Indian U-20 squad that won the SAFF U-20 Championship in 2022.ztier club Diamond Rock FC in the 2nd Division League. He played 5 matches in the league after being signed by the club in the winter transfer window from Mohammedan SC itself. Sujit played his traits as centre back and as a right back for Diamond Rock FC.
Sijit was a member of the youth squad in East Bengal, before joining Mohammedan in 2022. He was also part of the Indian U-20 squad that won the SAFF U-20 Championship in 2022.
Mohammedan SC are in the pursuit of attaining promotion next season and they are trying to bolster their existing squad. Sujit Singh will provide them with the necessary squad depth and we hope to see more playing time for the youngster next time around.
