Kerala Blasters has announced the appointment of Rajah Rizwan as the club’s new Academy and Women’s Team Director. Rizwan will have overall leadership and responsibility for the strategy and operations across all academy functions. This appointment will be an addition to the work already undertaken in recent years by the management to create the structures, processes and culture to deliver sustained success on the pitch.
Kerala Blasters has been consistent in its endeavor to encourage and empower young players over the last few years. With a coordinated long-term vision, the approach to player and squad development to maintain a link between the first team and the academy. With Rizwan’s addition, there will be a greater focus on further streamlining the youth structure at the club. This will include deeper integration of the GV Raja Sports Academy and Young Blasters programs into the club’s academy pathway, in line with the club’s direction and vision.
In addition to the academy, Rizwan takes on a new role to lead the development, implementation and launch of the Kerala Blasters Women’s Team further in the year.

I want to thank the club for the opportunity and trust shown in me and I sincerely believe that we can achieve the goals together to make all the stakeholders proud.” said an elated Rajah Rizwan.
“I would like to share my biggest congratulations to Rizwan after he replaced the former director and took charge of our academy. In addition to that, he will be taking care of the women’s team. We have so many things to do in these sectors, so I’m very happy to move forward together with such an ambitious professional like Rizwan.” said Karolis Skinkys, Sporting Director of KBFC.
In his new role, Rizwan will report to Sporting Director, Karolis Skinkys and will work closely with the Academy Technical Director, Tomasz Tchorz, and the rest of the academy staff.
