Rajasthan United FC is set to acquire the service of defender Naresh Singh

Hero I-League club Rajasthan United FC is all set to rope in TRAU FC’s right-back Naresh Singh on a two-year deal, Halfway Football can exclusively confirm.

Naresh (Singh) had a couple of offers on the table which includes offers from Indian Super League. He was excited about Rajasthan’s project and has now agreed to join the club on a two-year contract,” a source following the transfer told Halfway Football

The 25-year-old defender from Manipur started his career at Tata Football Academy. In 2018, he was signed by Jamshedpur FC for the reserve side. Naresh had booted up the Red Miners more than 20 times across Hero I-League second division and Durand Cup.

Ahead of the 2020/21 I-League season, TRAU FC secured his service. For the club, the 1.75M tall defender clocked nearly 4,700 minutes from 54 matches across I-League, Super Cup, and Durand Cup. Naresh primarily plays as a right-back but is also capable of handling the other positions in the defense.

Being one of the best performers of the previous I-League season, his presence would add more strength to the defensive unit of Rajasthan United.
